Streets of Berlin, formerly known as Eat it All, is an annual celebration of the graduation of UIC’s LGBTQIA and allied students, and LGBTQIA and allied diversity and culture at UIC, in Chicago, globally, and cross-culturally.The event takes place following the Gender and Sexuality Center’s Lavender Graduation ceremony. Please come celebrate after the ceremony by socializing, dancing, and cheering on some of Chicago’s most impressive and fabulous drag performers! Monica Beverly Hillz, from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, will be hosting! Other fabulous and stunning performers include: JADE Sotomayor, from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 1; Evah Envy; Nicole Starr; Sasha Fierce; and Venus Carangi!!!

Sunday, May 5th
- Safe Space Day, 12pm, Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted Street
Safe Space Day is an annual event organized by the Center for Gender, Sexuality and HIV Prevention at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to stop bullying. The event this year will be hosted at the Center on Halsted. The day is filled with workshops facilitated by DePaul University, Lambda Legal, About Face Theater, Chicago House, Lauren Lubin director of ‘We Exist: A Film About A Third Gender’, Center on Halsted Youth Program and many, many more. There is an athletics portion that will be hosted by the WNBA team, Chicago Sky, and openly-gay and former NFL player Wade Davis and friends. The athletics portion will serve as the launch of a larger sports camp called YOU Belong! that will premiere this summer in Chicago.
Lunch and snacks are provided by Wow Bao.
