Wednesday, January 16th

  •  Guts and Glory, 7pm, Powells Books, 2850 North Lincoln 

Live lit for the lionhearted, y’all, come see souls being bared.  Donations go towards non-profits, line up of 5 stellar storytellers, and it’s BYOB.

  • Making Out- January, 8 pm, Upstairs Gallery, 5219 North Clark

Songs and stories from Wes Perry and friends, including Kellen Alexander, Irene Marquette, Shad Kunkle, Steve Hnilicka, Drew Anderson, Darling Shear, Matt Leyes, and FANNY.  Also BYOB, 5 dollar donation, none turned away.

  • Burly: Wintertime Snuggles, 8 pm, The Burlington, 3425 West Fullerton

YOU MADE ME will be an exploration in three parts of the bonds that pull us together and how those bonds are severed. YOU MADE ME will incorporate sound, movement, drag, installation, action based art and audience involvement to create a unique, immersible experience for the viewer.

JESSE YOUNG is a multidisciplinary artist living in CHICAGO. originally from OREGON, JESSE has worked with theatre institutions across the country. he is a member of queer electro fuck band BAATHHAUS and is working on a new project for ABOUT FACE THEATRE set to premiere in april.

 Join Tess, Kristen, and special guest DJ Swaguerilla for some slow jams at this wintry edition of Slo ‘Mo. Stop by the Whistler to hear some of your favorite jams from Anita Baker to Sade, and more!

Katherine Glover’s award winning solo drama has made it to Chicago. This drama inspired by actual events makes it to the Windy City as part of Rhino Fest 2013.

Join the AIDS Legal Council of Chicago for their fourth annual benefit in Wicker Park. The night, hosted by Justin Hayford, will be filled of classic Gershwin love songs. Who could ask for anything more?

Come one, come all! Spend your Sunday evening with DJ Alinka (Shuteye). Start off your MLK Day late, hungover, and covered in makeup.
